Class participants will use locally grown blooms including sunflowers, dahlias, zinnias and other seasonal stars in a lovely vase arrangement. As part of the class, we will discuss horticultural tips with suggestions about how to use some materials found in residential landscapes as well as foraged greens. Design tips and styles will be covered, however students will be encouraged to explore their own creativity to make something fun and unique. No previous experience is required and this class is open to all skill levels. Focus will be on the beautiful flower specimens, and how to incorporate different color palettes. This is a great opportunity to “play with flowers”. It would be helpful to bring sharp pruners or floral snips but it is not required.
This class is beginner skill level, and all materials will be provided.
Class is held in McCrary Hall, next to the Manor House.
