Conference Center Manager
Jim has been managing people and operations since 1984. He is a graduate of the School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University and has an MBA from Western Michigan University. He balances the demands of service excellence with sustainable business practices.
Lead Guest Service Staff
Melissa ensures that all meeting rooms are clean and ready for each group and sets up the beverage and snack service display to guarantee a productive meeting. She has a long history in the hospitality industry providing excellent customer service.
Chef de Cuisine
Josh has been the KBS Chef de Cuisine since 2004, after years of experience working under demanding Executive Chefs. He successfully applies a range of gastronomic styles to suit everyone from students to bridal parties. He provides creative alternatives for guests with dietary restrictions.
Assistant Event Coordinator
Danae is a 2014 graduate from Grand Valley State University’s Hospitality and Tourism Management program. She assists with the execution of events and weddings at the Manor House. Her goal is to provide each guest with a magical experience that captures the essence of the Manor House and W.K. Kellogg’s legacy.
Conference Center Supervisor
To reserve your conference or meeting, contact Annette. She has been assisting guests and summer students since 2003. Let her years of experience help with planning your lodging, meeting room and meal service requirements. She is responsible for the housekeepers, guest service, front desk and accounting clerk staff.
Conference Center Front Desk
Autumn welcomes all guests with a friendly smile. She has several duties, including answering the phone, making reservations, collecting payments, giving directions, and cashiering lunch. She will do her part to make your stay at KBS pleasant and enjoyable.
Shelley handles accounting procedures for the Conference Center and Manor House, including accounts payable and receivable, purchase orders, internal MSU processing, and payroll. She has worked for KBS since 2013, and believes there isn’t a more beautiful place to work or visit.
Nicole has worked at the W.K. Kellogg Conference Center and Manor House since graduating from Western Michigan University in 2004. She exceeds clients’ expectations in event and wedding planning. She is passionate about the Manor House and sharing the legacy that W.K. Kellogg left this community.
Sandy is the Lead Housekeeper for the Conference Center. She takes pride in making guests rooms clean and inviting, to ensure a comfortable and good night’s sleep. She came to KBS with many years of housekeeping expertise.
